The LabGard ES is designed as a Class II, Type A2 Biological Safety Cabinet to provide personal, product, and environmental protection used for work with minute quantities of non‐flammable or explosive volatile toxic chemicals and trace amounts of radionuclides required as an adjunct to microbiological studies must be exhausted through properly functioning exhaust canopies.

LabGard ES NU-540 Biosafety Cabinet Construction Highlight

Model NU-540 is designed as a monolithic shell to lengthen product life and enhance safety. A single piece of stainless steel is bent to create the back and side walls of the cabinet. A stainless steel top and bottom are welded into place creating the pressure tight shell. Finally a coved insert is welded into place creating an easier to clean work zone and adds durability creating a double wall under negative pressure. The end result is a pressure tight, single piece shell to help keep you and your laboratory safe.

LabGard ES NU-540 Biosafety Cabinet Protection Highlight

LabGard ES can put your concerns to rest with a dynamic air barrier of 105 fpm (0.53 m/s) at the front of the cabinet. The air barrier creates a vacuum through the air foil grill separating the work zone from the laboratory. This air barrier protects you and your work.

True laminar airflow flushes the work zone at 60 fpm (0.30 m/s) protecting your samples. The 70% recirculated/30% exhausted air created an air split in the middle of the cabinet helps to minimize product cross contamination by capturing particles within the unidirectional airflow and capturing them through the front and/or back grills to the HEPA filter.
