The LabGard® ES Energy Saver Class II, Type B2 Laminar Flow Biological Safety Cabinet is available as a bench or table top cabinet designed to provide optimum control over product quality in the lab, while also reducing the risk of exposing the product or lab personnel to any airborne biological or particulate chemical agents. This cabinet -- which meets all requirements of a Class II, Type B2 cabinet -- is equipped with an energy-saving motor to maximize energy efficiency and filter loading capacity. As prescribed by the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia, the cabinet is intended for use in low to moderate risk-hazard research and drug preparation or product operations.
An air barrier keeps you and lab personnel safe while they work. This barrier is created by a strong inflow air velocity of 105 fpm (0.53 m/s) over an aerodynamic airfoil.
The cabinet is also designed with Laminar Airflow, which moves at a constant velocity of 60 fpm (0.30 m/s). This feature shields products from cross contamination and also protects you, the lab expert.
The HEPEX Zero Leak Airflow System is also intended to keep products and technicians safe. Within the cabinet, the airflow system balances positive and negative pressure to eliminate the possibility of any leaks. The fabrics used are extremely durable; they are flameproof and waterproof, and act as a barrier for gasses, fluid, dust, chemicals, oils and greases. Their antibacterial properties also help ensure that harmful materials become trapped in the fibers.
This Type B2 biosafety cabinet is outfitted with an ultra-high-efficiency motor, which is designed to decrease energy costs while increasing the length of filter life. The high-efficiency motor has been shown to increase filter life from the NSF minimum requirement of 50% (3-year equivalent life) to 300% (10 years or longer).
Using this NU-430 Class II biosafety cabinet is easier than ever with its built-in TouchLink2 electronic control system: One color touch screen operates all system functions. You can use the screen to turn lights on and off, monitor high/low limits for downflow and inflow, display the date and time, control the auto-run timer, check the filter status and much more.
This biosafety cabinet is designed with ergonomics in mind to help reduce user fatigue and minimize workplace injuries. The cabinet's adjustable base stand allows you to improve leg and forearm support, while the maximum knee/thigh clearance helps you assume proper posture while you work. The cabinet also has cool white lighting for reduced glare, the largest work zone possible and additional accessories for maximum comfort.
The cabinet is designed and built with safety in mind: It is made from single-shell, high-grade stainless steel, which is fully welded, eliminating the chance of leaks through cabinet seams and gasket failures.
