17 Steps for Setup, Use, and Preventive Maintenance

1. Arrival and Unpacking

Inspect for damage and safely unbox the incubator. Recommended for lab personnel.

2. Connecting to a CO₂ Supply

Use a two-stage regulator and proper PSI setting. Suitable for lab staff or technicians.

3. Connecting to a N₂ Supply

Required for tri-gas models with O₂ control. Should be performed by trained personnel.

4. Connecting to a Power Supply

Plug into a grounded outlet and verify system initialization via NuTouch ECS.

5. Surface Cleaning

Clean chamber with 70% isopropyl alcohol. Avoid bleach. Follow SOPs before introducing cultures.

6. Filling the Water Pan

Use distilled water. Maintain level and cleanliness weekly. Prevents desiccation and contamination.

7. Filling the Water Reservoir

Applies to RH control models. Fill through designated access port. Use water no purer than 1 MΩ.

8. NuTouch Control System

Interface overview, setting temperature, alarms, and run modes. Suitable for all users.

9. Temperature Sensor Calibration

Requires certified reference thermometer. Conduct quarterly. Performed by trained staff.

10. CO₂ Calibration

Use certified CO₂ calibration gas. Video demonstrates sensor calibration process. Qualified technicians recommended.

11. RH Calibration Using a Water Pan

Passive humidity control models. Adjustments based on temperature and door heater settings.

12. RH Sensor Calibration Using a Hygrometer

For active RH control models. Requires accurate hygrometer and training.

13. Door and Perimeter Heater Calibration

Manually tune for condensation control. Applies to all models. Done during setup or troubleshooting.

14. O₂ Sensor Calibration

Tri-gas models only. Calibrate with certified O₂ gas. Service professional recommended.

15. 145°C Decon Cycle

High-temperature sterilization feature. Run only with chamber empty. Refer to safety precautions.

16. Changing the Capsule HEPA Filter

Front-loaded capsule. Follow instructions. Should be done by qualified service personnel.

17. Changing the Disk Filters

Located in gas lines. Replace as part of scheduled maintenance. Service technician preferred.
