The AllerGard family of Animal Transfer Stations (ATS) borrows from NuAire’s expertise in both containment and laminar airflow to provide optimal sterility for lab animals as well as robust allergen protection during animal research. All NuAire Animal Transfer Stations operate based on a “push-pull” concept wherein a supply motor above the work surface and an exhaust motor below, create a powerful “piston of air” to ensure clean air during animal research.
This column of laminar downflow air passes through a combination of pre-filter and HEPA filter above and below the work zone to protect laboratory animals from contamination during animal research and the cage changing process. On its way down, this current of air is suctioned through slots on the perimeter of the work surface to minimize the escape of allergens that could otherwise reach the station operator. The ATS makes both work and maintenance easy with LED lighting, a work zone outlet, and a work surface prop-up rod. Designed for mobility and versatility, all units feature motorized height adjustment, castors, and pull pars, but our broad portfolio includes specific configurations to meet your applications.
