Model NU-5831 features a maintenance-free air pump that draws environmental samples from within the chamber, passing them through a 99.99-percent HEPA filter. Introduction into the sensor bay allows for gas and O2 measurements to be taken. With this data, the NuTouch™ Electronic Control system determines how to continue maintaining chamber set-point conditions.
The interior growth chamber's innovative design offers the advantage of rounded, smooth corners, preventing contaminants from lurking in hidden spaces.
The In-VitroCell™ features both 145°C high heat sterilization and 95°C humidified decontamination cycles, both easily accessed via the NuTouch™ Intelligent Interface. Acting as both a preventative measure and a means for eradicating contamination in the growth chamber; the cycles will keep your samples free of contamination. Timer functions allow you to set the sterilization process for your convenience.
A standard feature, the 5 x 7-inch color touchscreen is included on each In-VitroCell™ CO2 incubator, with availability in four languages, including English, Spanish, French and German. The user-friendly interface allows you to set quickly and control system parameters with the touch of your finger. The system status is constantly displayed on screen, keeping you apprised of each and every action taking place.
The highly accurate, stable IR sensor offers a controlled range running between 0.1 to 20 percent, with accuracy to within 0.1 percent. This is achieved through the use of a non-dispersive, microprocessor-based, single-source dual wave infrared sensor. The sensor carefully monitors and controls the CO2 levels inside the growth chamber. In addition, because the wavelengths are only absorbed by CO2, the measurement is impervious to water vapor and other components.
Temperature uniformity and accuracy, will not be an issue with the smartly designed foil heating elements. Surrounding the 200-liter growth chamber, these elements are wrapped in R5 insulation for superior control. A separately controlled door heater minimizes condensation that can gather on the inner chamber door. With the dual temperature sensor probes, information is relayed to the NuTouch™ Electronic Control System, allowing it to make accurate adjustments to the set points as they are needed.
Quick heat recovery occurs at 0.12°C per minute. The NU-5831 can again reach a set point of 37°C within 15 minutes after a 30-second door opening.
An accurate air pump injects gas and air into the chamber, eliminating potential cell growth disruption through unnecessary vibration.
Utilizing a highly accurate sensor system, oxygen is controlled and suppressed (0.25% to 21% range) automatically through the use of nitrogen injected into the growth chamber accurate within ±0.25%.
