The In-VitroCell model NU-5841 is a direct heat CO2 incubator that features an RH sensor and water reservoir in place of a water pan to control the growth chamber's humidity levels to the setpoint. In addition, the NU-5841 also offers the ability to suppress oxygen levels by monitoring O2 levels in the chamber and injecting nitrogen gas to meet the setpoint. A large 7.06 ft3 (200 Liter) capacity chamber is a perfect solution for principal investigators looking for a robust solution for hypoxic stress studies, stem cell culture research, and more.

Hypoxic Conditions

Oxygen Control

For more sensitive cells lines prone to stress and DNA damage, CO2 Incubator models featuring Oxygen control utilize an O2 sensor to monitor oxygen in the growth chamber. Nitrogen (N2) gas is injected to suppress oxygen to set point. An extensive O2 range applies to various research applications, including the brain, eyes, liver, heart, kidneys, and more.

Precise Humidity Control

Relative humidity levels up to 90% are achieved in the growth chamber through the use of a 3-liter reservoir external to the chamber. The chamber air is routed through the water vapor saturated the air in an evaporate box to add humidity when the RH sensor indicates more humidity is needed to meet set point.


Constant Contamination Control

Advanced features mitigate risks due to contamination. Using a slight positive pressure within the chamber eliminates contaminated laboratory air entering the growth chamber. Air and gas pass through 99.99% @ 0.3 micron efficient HEPA filters before entering the chamber resulting in conditions similar to an ISO Class 5 cleanroom. Smooth rounded corners eliminate potential hiding places for contaminates. An overnight procedure running a decontamination cycle at 145° Celsius dry or 95° Celsius humidified is the perfect solution for the fight against contamination. Contamination control is just one more reason NuAire is the safer choice for your laboratory.


Infrared (IR) Sensor

A single source dual wave infrared (IR) sensor controls CO2 levels within the growth chamber to maintain an optimal PH. The wavelengths used are absorbed only by CO2, making the measurements insensitive to other components such as water vapor. Advanced design provides a stable output minimizing drift, and requires less frequent calibrations.


Uniform Temperature

The Direct heating elements or the water jacket are wrapped in high density insulation which surrounds the growth chamber. Dual temperature sensor probes relay information back to the NuTouch Electronic Control System and make adjustments as needed.
