CO2 Incubator Changing the Disk Filters
How to Change Disk Filters in NuAire CO₂ Incubators
This video demonstrates how to inspect and replace air and gas disk filters in NuAire CO₂ incubators. Filters should be checked every six months and replaced when discolored or after every fifth gas tank change.
The tutorial covers:
- Transferring and safeguarding cell cultures before maintenance
- Safely shutting down the incubator per the user manual
- Removing the valance to access front-mounted disk filters
- Inspecting for yellow-brown discoloration
- Properly installing replacement filters with the inlet side facing the tubing from the top
- Restoring the valance and doors after replacement
- Recalibrating gas sensors following filter changes
By following these steps, labs maintain clean airflow, protect cultures, and ensure accurate CO₂ levels for consistent research results.
