In-VitroCell CO2 Incubator model NU-8631 uses a water jacket, a heater, and temperature probes to control the temperature in the growth chamber. Model NU-8631 specializes in applications involving the need to maintain oxygen levels. Suppressed oxygen levels or hypoxic conditions in the growth chamber are controlled by monitoring O2 levels through a sensor and injecting nitrogen gas to meet the setpoint. Features such as an easy-to-use interface, top-notch filtration, and constant monitoring of chamber conditions give labs, both large and small, assurance that their samples will be protected. The NU-8631 is the perfect solution for stem cell and age-related research studies.

For more sensitive cells lines prone to stress and DNA damage, CO2 Incubator models featuring Oxygen control utilize an O2 sensor to monitor oxygen in the growth chamber. Nitrogen (N2) gas is injected to suppress oxygen to set point. An extensive O2 range applies to various research applications, including the brain, eyes, liver, heart, kidneys, and more.

 

Optimal CO2 Levels

Infrared (IR) Sensor

A single source dual wave infrared (IR) sensor controls CO2 levels within the growth chamber to maintain an optimal PH. The wavelengths used are absorbed only by CO2, making the measurements insensitive to other components such as water vapor. Advanced design provides a stable output minimizing drift, and requires less frequent calibrations.

Water Jacket Temperature Control

In-VitroCell Water Jacket CO2 Incubators maintain accurate temperature with the large 18 gallons (68.1-liter) water jacket that surrounds the inner chamber. Heated water in this jacket circulates around the growth chamber, keeping the temperature uniform within the growth chamber ±0.2°C. Precise temperature control is aided by the R5 insulation that lines the outer chamber walls that minimize heat loss.

The door and perimeter heaters are microprocessor-controlled to adjust to the room's ambient temperature. They can also be adjusted manually from ±20 percent to reduce condensation within the growth chamber.
